The Reception Desk

At the reception desk, we can help you in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and German. Also, we will gladly give you advice regarding German, as well as living in Zürich or Switzerland in general.

The classrooms

The students at Hallo Deutschschule learn in spacious classrooms that are equipped with modern technology: Interactive whiteboards, projectors, audio installations are standard here. Additionally, we provide free Wi-Fi for our students. That way, we provide an ideal environment for learning German.
In addition to our rooms at Fabrikstrasse 10, we rent additional classrooms in the evening in the Zollhaus at Zollstrasse 121, only a 10 minute walk from our school: flex-zollhaus.ch

Teaching material

We teach with multimedia-based books and use videos, animations, listenting and interactive exercises. Our teaching material encourages active conversation in a fun and creative way. Cultural highlights about life in switzerland are included in the reading and listening exercises. The teaching material is based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Cafeteria

In our Cafeteria we provide coffee, tea or other beverages for our students. There’s also a small library with magazines, newspapers and books in German. If the weather is nice, our students are free to relax or study in our beautiful and green internal courtyard.

The Location

The school is located 20 meters from the tram station Quellenstrasse and 100 meters from Limmatplatz. The tram lines Nr. 13, 4 and 17 will get you from Zurich HB (main station) to our school in less than 5 minutes. Also the train station Zurich Hardbrücke is reachable in 5 minutes.

Our philosophy

We see motivation and enjoyment when learning German as our top priority.

We teach with modern methods, in which the students actively learn German and speak a lot.

By using many conversations and grammar games, we offer practical training that is needed when you learn German in Switzerland.

Cultural specifications about life in Switzerland are being integrated in our lessons.

Our field trips and our cultural programs help our students to socialize and make new contacts.

To guarantee quality, we pay close attention to our students’ learning progress.
